POLICIES & RULES

RESERVATION LIMITS

To ensure all members have an opportunity to play, please adhere to the following limits:

  • Outstanding Reservations: You may have a maximum of 4 outstanding reservations at any one time.
  • Prime Time: You are welcome to book up to 4 prime time reservations per week (a week runs Monday to Sunday). Prime time is before 10:00 AM and after 4:00 PM.
  • Daily Limit: Members can book a maximum of 240 minutes (4 hours) of court time per day. Please ensure your bookings are at least 2 hours apart.
  • One Court at a Time: Concurrent reservations (booking more than one court at the same time) are not permitted.

ON THE DAY OF PLAY

  • Check-In: You must check-in within the check-in window. The check-in window opens two hours before your booking and closes at the end of the reservation period.
  • List All Players: To ensure fairness, all players using the court must be listed on the reservation Accurately on the day of play. Using non-playing family members to hold a spot on the day of play is not allowed.
  • Minimum Players: A minimum of two players must be playing for any court reservation. Reserving a court for solo practice is not allowed.

NO SHOW POLICY

A “no-show” occurs when players do not check in for their reservation.

  • Suspension: Accumulating 3 or more no-shows within a month will result in a two-week suspension of reservation privileges, and any existing reservations will be canceled.
  • How to Avoid a No-Show: If an emergency, illness, or last-minute change prevents you from playing, you can avoid a no-show penalty by emailing reservations@sanmarinotennis.org to explain the situation.

GUESTS & FEES

  • Guest Fee: The fee is $10 per guest per day.
  • Payment: This fee must be paid through CourtReserve within 15 minutes of making the booking. If the guest fee is not paid in time, the system will automatically cancel the reservation.
  • Walk-On Guests/Public: Guests or Public may play without a reservation if court is available for $10 per person, payable via Zelle or Venmo. Cash is not accepted. Please check with the Tennis Director for availability.

FACILITY-WIDE POLICIES TO REMEMBER

  • Paid Hitting Partners & Coaches: Only board-approved teaching professionals are permitted to give lessons or provide any form of paid instruction, physical training, or hitting sessions. Members may not bring their own paid hitting partners or coaches onto the courts without prior board approval.
  • Ball Machine: Courts cannot be reserved for use of the ball machine by a single player. Otherwise, ball machines may be used during any valid reservation with at least two players.
  • Court Lights: San Marino Tennis Center and Lacy Park closes at 8:30pm. Please vacate the courts promptly upon closing.
